Thanksgiving Social Held With Christmas Raffle.gif)
At this months Knights of Columbus, Council #112 Thanksgiving Social, held on Monday, November 23rd 2009, the Ladies ran a Christmas raffle.
Rather than the Ladies running their popular "Basket Raffle", two Christmas wreaths and a Christmas table basket were donated by Carol Marshall.
Brother Knight, Chuck McGee was the Thanksgiving Turkey Chef for this event, along with the guided assistance of Brother Knight Red Brochu. It was a great feast. If you have attended any of Chuck's Saint Patrick's Day Social's, you know that you have enjoyed yourselves from beginning to end. This Dinner Social was no different.
Social time began at 6:00pm in the lounge area with dinner being served at 7:00pm.
Grand Knight, David Dale awarded his "Knight of the Month" and "Family of the Month" this evening, as well as Jolene Camley, President of the Ladies Group, who awarded the Groups, "Knights Lady of the Month".
Many thanks to all of the Knights Ladies who attended, in support of their husbands, as well as to have a great time in general. We will see everyone again at the next social in January.

The Ladies gathered at 10 am and worked until 4pm, putting together over 30 blankets that will be given to the Center Guests who are present at the BirthRite Dinner in Concord on the 30th.

This yearly event that everyone has always looked forward to, as always, was very well attended and well enjoyed.
Many of the Ladies brought a food dish to share with everyone and of course, had a great time with a Yankee Swap

Ladies to lend hands at Tilton Veteran's Home
After the Christmas Season, the Ladies will be helping the patients at the Veteran's Home in Tilton, NH.
We will be purchasing any items that are in short supply and needed, and donating them for the season.
They have a total of 200 patients and some never get any visitors. Jolene will be calling the Veteran's Home to see what they are in need of, but it was also suggested that all occasion cards, postage stamps and socks, would be great items to add to the care packages.
We will pick a date and shop together or in small groups, and then deliver the items to Tilton on a day that will work for the majority of our Ladies.
Our Group has set aside an expense account of anywhere from $200.00 to $500.00 for this project, depending on the homes needs.
For more information, contact President, Jolene Camley

Crayons, Coloring Books and Toys for Tots
At their recent November meeting, the Ladies of the Knights of Columbus Council #112 decided to make a small but very worthwhile donation.
We have several boxes of crayons left over from the school supply drive that had not been donated to Walker Elementary School in Concord, that will be put to good use.
The Ladies will purchase coloring books from the dollar store in Concord and donate the crayons and books to Toys for Tots, a program that is always in need of support suring the Christmas season.
If anyone is interested in making a donation to the Ladies effort in addition to the plan that the Group has, please feel free to contact President, Jolene Camley.

Ladies to take time out for Ichiban
You would think that the Ladies were planning to practice an ancient art of relaxation ... but on the contrary, will be having their January Meeting and dinner at Concord's latest talk of the town.
Ichiban Japanese Steak House at 118 Manchester Street in Concord, will be the location for the Ladies fun night out. Last years time was combined with their Annual Christmas Party and meeting at Cheers Restaurant in December, but since plans have been adjusted for time at Lilly St.Hilaire's home this December, the Ladies have pushed their night out up a month.
The Ladies group will pay $10.00 per person towards your meal and the rest will be up to us individually, as need be.
Plan on having a great time together, during Ladies night out.
If there are any questions and to allow for planning, please make sure to reserve ahead of time with President, Jolene Camley.
We'll see you there!

Ladies and Valentines, to mix at Harris Hill Nursing Home
The Ladies of the Knights had such a great time last year, that they want to go back to Harris Hill Nursing Home in Concord.
This year, the Ladies will be visiting the Home in the February time frame, and have decided it would be a good time to go with a Valentine's Day theme.
At this time, the event is in the planning stages and the Ladies are looking for a Chairwoman, who would be interested in organizing this with the home.
If there is anyone who would like to take this event and run with the "planning", please get in touch with President, Jolene Camley and let her know.
